The University of Pittsburgh owns affordable and well-maintained apartments that are available to both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as members of the Oakland community. All University-owned apartments can be rented on a one-year lease. The apartments are unfurnished and range from efficiencies to three-bedroom units located in several neighborhoods close to the University of Pittsburgh. Undergraduate & Transfer Students
Undergraduate students are not required to live on-campus and may choose to reside in University-owned apartments or off-campus housing.
If you are an undergraduate student, you may be eligible to live in the University’s residence halls. If you have a valid housing guarantee, visit Panther Central for more information about your housing options. Undergraduate students without guaranteed on-campus housing are placed on a waiting list and assigned accommodations based on availability. To discuss your eligibility for on-campus housing accommodations, contact Panther Central.
Graduate students are unable to live in on-campus accommodations and must choose to reside in University-owned apartments or independently owned off-campus apartments.
If you are an undergraduate student, you may be eligible to live in one of the University’s residence halls. Contact Panther Central to determine if you have a housing guarantee or need to be placed on the non-guaranteed wait list. However, you are not required to live on-campus and may choose to reside in a University-owned apartment or independently owned off-campus apartment.
Graduate students and visiting scholars are not eligible to live in the University’s residence halls and will need to reside in University-owned apartments or off-campus accommodations.
