If it’s after a time in when the majority of apartments have been leased or the academic year is about to begin, and you have a need for housing, we encourage you to continue to use the information and tools provided in the Renters’ Guide in order to find an appropriate accommodation for your needs. Although the University-owned apartments may be fully leased, vacancies still occur and wait lists open as students make other choices, so it’s worthwhile to make contact with Off-Campus Living at 412-624-9900. Also, private landlords with quality accommodations may have openings and by showing flexibility with start dates, pricing, and types of units, you may be successful in finding quality accommodation late in the process. However, your needs will be best met if you start the process in January.
How Do I apply?
For the 2017 fall semester, University owned units will be listed as their availability becomes known. Students can expect to start seeing listings in March. If you see an apartment listed that you are interested in leasing, you will be directed to complete an online application and arrangements will be made to show you the apartment and answer you specific questions.
University of Pittsburgh medical students interested in leasing an apartment at the Darragh Street Apartments should contact the office and ask to speak with Trisha or Kevin.
